The Peruvian Mega Plaza Independencia shopping center has 7 ViaDirect wayfinding kiosk, featuring the famous Gazelle model
Since its opening in 2002, the Mega Plaza Independencia shopping center has grown over time under the management of the Parque Arauco property company.
Located in the north of Lima, Peru, the center covers 111,500 m² of retail space with a total of approximately 273 shops including a Tottus hypermarket, a food court, a Cinemark cinema and retailers such as Adidas, H&M, Falabella, and even Ripley and Oechsle. Mega Plaza independencia has focused on offering its customers a wide range of products, services and entertainment to meet all their needs.
The centre also has a large car park, making it easy to access from Panamericana Norte, the main access road for public and motorised transport, which links the districts of Los Olivos, Independencia, San Martín de Porres and Comas.
In the continuity of its digitalization and its advance towards the resolution of the needs of its customers, the center introduced the use of ViaDirect orientation terminals.
ViaDirect therefore supplied the shopping center with seven Gazelle model kiosks from the furniture catalog, including orientation and information software specifically created for the center based on the layout of their signs and service areas.
The software, which is available in Spanish and English, has a wide range of functions that make it effective in the long term. The functionalities are as follows:
- 3D map with adapted route search
- Multi-level map view
- Description of the place you are looking for
- Search for signs by category
- Search for shops in alphabetical order
- Directions to food and beverage areas
- Access to key services in the shopping center
- Provision of offers and events
- Intuitive interface in several languages
