ViaDirect partnered with EDHEC Business School to deploy a next generation mobile wayfinding solution at its Lille campus. As a result, students, faculty, and visitors now navigate a complex academic environment with greater clarity and confidence.
Because the campus includes five interconnected buildings across multiple floors, EDHEC needed a solution that would allow thousands of daily users to move seamlessly without confusion, delays, or operational friction. Instead of adding more static signage, the school chose to rethink orientation entirely.
To address this challenge, ViaDirect implemented a fully digital, mobile first navigation platform that makes campus orientation intuitive, fast, and reliable. Users can access the solution instantly on their smartphone via QR code, with no app download required. Consequently, adoption is immediate and frictionless.
Transforming a complex campus into a fluid experience
The Lille campus features a sophisticated spatial configuration where buildings, levels, and departments interconnect closely. Rather than simply displaying points of interest, ViaDirect structured the system to deliver true spatial intelligence.
First, our team organized and harmonized all campus data. Then, we modeled every building, level, and pathway to create natural transitions between spaces. As a result, users can move from one building to another without hesitation or confusion.
The objective was simple yet ambitious: enable any user to understand their position instantly and identify the most efficient route to their destination.

Today, students locate classrooms in seconds. Likewise, visitors find administrative offices without asking for assistance. Meanwhile, staff spend less time providing directions and more time focusing on their core responsibilities.
Therefore, the campus benefits from reduced uncertainty, improved punctuality, and a smoother daily experience for everyone.

A scalable foundation for the future
Beyond solving immediate navigation needs, EDHEC wanted a solution that could evolve alongside the institution. For that reason, ViaDirect designed the platform with long term scalability at its core.
The architecture allows EDHEC to update spaces and room allocations quickly, adapt the system to future expansions, and replicate the solution across additional national and international campuses. In other words, the project established a flexible digital foundation rather than a fixed tool.
By combining flexibility, reliability, and user centric design, ViaDirect delivered more than a map. Instead, we created a dynamic digital orientation layer embedded directly into campus life.
Today, EDHEC’s community carries a smart campus guide in their pocket. As soon as they step onto campus, they gain clarity, confidence, and autonomy.
