At ViaDirect, we believe that a smooth travel experience begins with the right guidance. Our goal is to ensure every passenger feels confident and supported throughout their journey — even in complex and constantly changing environments.
The Challenge
With the opening of the new Jorge Chávez International Airport, a particular challenge emerged:
- Several areas were under renovation.
- Frequent route changes caused confusion among passengers.
- Information about detours and modifications was not always clearly communicated.
All of this made wayfinding within the airport a real challenge.
The Solution: Digital Wayfinding Kiosks
To meet this need, we installed five Gazelle kiosks designed to deliver a simple, clear, and comprehensive navigation experience.
Each interactive digital map was developed with critical information, including:
- Construction zones
- Security checkpoints
- Boarding gates

This ensured passengers received accurate, reliable routes, helping them move around the airport with greater confidence and ease.
Real-Time Integration with the Flight API

One of the key elements of this project was the integration with the airport’s flight and destination API, allowing us to update flight schedules and statuses in real time. This guaranteed passengers always had access to the most accurate information, enhancing their overall experience and reducing confusion.
In addition, our flexible software made it possible to quickly adapt the maps to constant infrastructure changes, ensuring the information displayed remained accurate and relevant at all times.
To complete the experience, we incorporated a satisfaction survey page that gathers feedback directly from passengers and consolidates it into Excel sheets for continuous analysis and improvement.

Results: A more intuitive and reliable experience
Thanks to this implementation, ViaDirect transformed wayfinding inside Jorge Chávez International Airport into an intuitive, reliable, and passenger-centered experience.
