Since 2019, the Mall Aventura group has actively embraced innovation to transform the visitor experience. Initially, the group implemented interactive kiosks across its shopping centers. Over time, however, it expanded this approach into a complete omnichannel strategy, integrating mobile solutions that reflect evolving digital habits.

A first step: digitizing the on-site experience

The collaboration with ViaDirect began with the installation of interactive kiosks in several shopping centers across Peru.

These devices, equipped with 43” touchscreens, allow visitors to:

  • Browse 3D interactive maps
  • Search for stores, restaurants, and services
  • Generate routes داخل the shopping center
  • Access real-time information

As a result, visitors enjoy a more autonomous and intuitive experience. In addition, with more than 200 points of interest and features such as accessible routes for people with reduced mobility, Mall Aventura delivers a modern and inclusive on-site journey.

The shift: new habits, new expectations

However, visitor behavior gradually changed. Today, the customer journey no longer starts only at the mall. Instead, it often begins on mobile devices, even before arrival.

Because of this shift, relying solely on physical kiosks quickly showed its limits. In other words, Mall Aventura needed a more flexible and continuous solution to meet new expectations.

The evolution: toward an omnichannel strategy

To address these changes, Mall Aventura took a decisive step. Specifically, the group implemented mobile maps integrated via iframe, extending the digital experience beyond the physical environment.

This new digital layer rolled out across already equipped shopping centers, thereby ensuring continuity between physical and digital touchpoints. At the same time, Mall Aventura introduced Mall Aventura Iquitos, a new development in the Peruvian Amazon, which fully integrated this omnichannel approach from day one.

Thanks to this evolution, visitors can now:

  • Access the map on their smartphones via QR code
  • Plan their visit in advance
  • Continue their journey seamlessly
  • Navigate easily داخل the shopping center

In addition, iframe integration allows the maps to be embedded directly into the group’s website, strengthening the consistency of the digital experience.

A fast and strategic deployment

The project was carried out with an agile approach that enabled:

  • Mobile maps to be deployed in less than 30 days
  • QR codes to be delivered in advance for on-site installation
  • Smooth website integration through iframe

This approach allowed Mall Aventura to accelerate its digital transformation efficiently and without friction.
