To enhance the passenger experience at Marne-La-Vallée, a major transportation hub in France, IDF Mobilités, the regional transport authority, and its operator Transdev partnered with ViaDirect to deploy two interactive wayfinding kiosks. These kiosks, strategically located near the TGV station and Disneyland Paris, provide essential information to over 15 million visitors each year.
ViaDirect’s interactive 3D wayfinding software allows users to visualize the layout of the north and south stations, as well as the surrounding Disneyland Paris area. This helps travelers easily navigate the complex and find the shortest route to their destination. The software also provides real-time information on train and bus schedules, including any delays or disruptions, ensuring a smoother travel experience.
The ViaDirect software designed for Marne-La-Vallée includes:
- Practical information on bus routes and disruptions, Disneyland Park opening times, etc.
- A search leading to routes to bus lines and nearby points of interest (hotels, shopping center, swimming pool, hospital, etc. ….)
- A search for shops and services (retail, restaurants, drinks services, etc.)
- A user satisfaction survey to gather feedback to improve the service.
- Interface available in 7 languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese)
By providing clear and concise information in multiple languages, these kiosks ensure that visitors from diverse backgrounds can easily navigate the station and surrounding areas. With ViaDirect’s solution, Marne-La-Vallée has significantly improved the passenger experience, making the journey smoother and more enjoyable for travelers of all nationalities.
