Located in the Macao region, Zhuhai Airport accommodates approximately 11 million passengers annually and is committed to offering a range of innovative services, including digital signage.
To enhance the passenger experience, our partner, Weiyade Information Technology, enlisted ViaDirect to develop tailored wayfinding and information software. The airport featured 3 interactive tactile furniture units equipped with our software, which directed visitors to shops, restaurants, and boarding gates.
With an integrated barcode reader, passengers can simply scan their tickets to access essential flight information, including check-in desk locations, gate assignments, boarding times, and any delays. This information is displayed in real time, thanks to a continuous connection to the airport’s flight API.
In addition, the software was fully translated into both simplified and traditional Chinese, accommodating the unique characteristics of the language, while it also features a handwriting input option for faster and more intuitive interaction.
