How can you modernize the visitor experience in one of France’s most iconic shopping centers?
Inaugurated in 1969 in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, near Nice, Cap 3000 chose ViaDirect to enhance its visitor guidance with a comprehensive digital wayfinding solution.
The shopping center deployed 10 interactive digital kiosks, including eight double-screen Trombone units, designed to help visitors easily find their way around the center. The kiosks also feature a barcode reader and several other functionalities designed to improve the visitor experience.
Based in France, ViaDirect provided a complete solution for the project, including the production and installation of the kiosk furniture, the wayfinding software, and maintenance services.
Managed by the Altarea Cogedim group, Cap 3000 thus strengthens a strategic partnership initiated in 2019. In addition, this project joins successful deployments at Carré de Soie, Okabé, and Qwartz consolidating a long-term relationship based on trust and performance.
A Design Built to Convert

The “Trombone” kiosk combines technology, design, and ergonomics. Thanks to this combination, it streamlines the visitor journey and drives engagement.
Indeed, each unit features:
- 3D Navigation: A 40″ multitouch screen powered by ViaDirect’s interactive wayfinding software.
- Tailored Loyalty Program: A 22″ multitouch screen directly connected to Altarea Cogedim’s business platform.
- Integrated Phygital Equipment: An NFC reader, a smartphone-compatible barcode scanner, and three loyalty card dispensers.
Thus, the solution offers two complementary experiences on a single kiosk. First, it guides visitors efficiently. Second, it simplifies access to the loyalty program. Moreover, the ergonomics were carefully designed to make every interaction smoother.
An End-to-End Integrated Solution
To guarantee the project’s success, ViaDirect managed the entire deployment process. This comprehensive support spans from manufacturing to ongoing maintenance:
- Design and Manufacturing: Custom creation of interactive furniture.
- Hardware and Software Integration: Assembly of technical components, 3D wayfinding software, and the business application.
- Installation: Fast deployment at the heart of the shopping center.
- Maintenance and Supervision: Continuous technical monitoring to ensure maximum uptime.
Loyalty That Goes Beyond the Map
By combining two screens, the “Trombone” kiosk delivers double the functionality instantly. Indeed, shoppers can sign up for the loyalty program while browsing the map.
As a result, visitors easily access numerous benefits:
- Exclusive promotions
- Mall services (daycare, free parking)
- Contests and giveaways
At the same time, the wayfinding ecosystem ensures effortless navigation thanks to:
🗺️ A real-time dynamic 3D map
🔍 Intuitive store search by category or alphabetical order
🗺️ A responsive multitouch map
🅿️ Practical information on transportation and parking
An Integrated Digital Experience
In conclusion, this project highlights ViaDirect’s expertise in delivering turnkey phygital solutions. By bringing together hardware, software, and design, the brand transforms the customer journey. Finally, this achievement reinforces a long-standing collaboration with Altarea Cogedim.
