Salitre Plaza is one of Bogotá’s most iconic mixed-use commercial destinations, a landmark urban hub that for more than two decades has established itself as a key meeting point in the city. With a high daily flow of visitors and a constantly evolving retail offering, Salitre Plaza was looking for a solution capable of modernizing the visitor experience by simplifying navigation, improving access to information, and optimizing communication throughout the shopping center.

The Challenge

With hundreds of stores, restaurants, and services, Salitre Plaza needed a solution capable of:

Interactive 3D Wayfinding

The project includes a fully interactive 3D map featuring touch navigation and real-time routing. Visitors can visualize dynamic routes, access detailed store and service information, and explore points of interest through an intuitive and immersive experience.

Intelligent Search

Visitors can easily find stores, restaurants, restrooms, and services through different search methods:

ViaDirect Mobile: Extending the Experience to Smartphones

As part of the implementation strategy, ViaDirect Mobile was included during the first year to encourage adoption and extend the experience beyond the interactive kiosks.

Through QR codes distributed across the property, visitors can access directly from their smartphones:

  • A responsive 3D map
  • Mobile navigation with route guidance
  • A customized interface aligned with Salitre Plaza’s visual identity
  • Full access to the shopping center’s points of interest

This omnichannel approach allows visitors to continue their journey seamlessly between the physical and digital environments.

Visual Communication and Autonomous Content Management

The solution also integrates a visual communication module directly into the kiosk screens, enabling real-time display of promotions, campaigns, and dynamic messages.

For internal teams, ViaDirect implemented a dedicated CMS that allows them to:

  • Update content and destinations
  • Manage promotions and campaigns
  • Modify store information
  • Access usage statistics and reports
  • Operate the system autonomously

The integration with Google Analytics also provides exportable statistical dashboards to analyze visitor behavior and continuously optimize the experience.

A Solution Designed to Evolve

Beyond the implementation itself, ViaDirect will provide ongoing support, preventive maintenance, and unlimited updates to maps and content, ensuring the experience always remains up to date.
