Zhuhai-Jinwan Airport, located in the Macao region, accommodates approximately 11 million passengers annually. In collaboration with Weiyade Information Technology, ViaDirect’s customized wayfinding and information software was developed to enhance the passenger experience. Interactive Wayfinding Units at the Airport
Currently, the airport is equipped with three interactive kiosks, all powered by ViaDirect’s advanced software. These units guide passengers to key destinations, such as shops, restaurants, and boarding gates. Additionally, the integrated barcode reader allows passengers to scan their tickets, providing them with real-time flight information, including boarding times, delays, check-in desk locations, and gate assignments. The data is continuously updated through a direct connection to the airport’s flight API, ensuring that passengers always have access to the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Catering to Linguistic Diversity
To further enhance the user experience, the software has been fully translated into both simplified and traditional Chinese, accommodating the region’s diverse linguistic needs. Additionally, the software features a handwriting input option, allowing for faster and more intuitive interaction.
