Continuing Deployments with Westfield

The Euralille shopping center is one of the largest in the Hauts-de-France region. Located in the heart of Lille, it benefits from a strategic position near the Lille-Flandres and Lille-Europe train stations. Thanks to its wide range of shops, restaurants, and leisure activities, it attracts millions of visitors every year.

To enhance the customer experience, the center decided to modernize its wayfinding and information system. To achieve this, it implemented the digital wayfinding solution from ViaDirect. The goal is clear: help visitors navigate more easily and improve foot traffic flow throughout the mall.

Interactive Totems to Better Guide Visitors

To achieve this goal, Euralille installed three interactive VDMapWall totems. These devices are connected to the center’s API (Application Programming Interface), allowing them to display up-to-date information in real time.

With these totems, visitors can:

  • Access an intuitive interactive map to quickly locate stores and services.
  • Get a smart route calculation to reach their destination.
  • Discover the latest news, promotions, and events happening in the center.

As a result, visitors can easily find the information they need.

VDMapWall: A device designed for Wayfinding

The VDMapWall consists of two complementary screens.
A large landscape display shows the interactive map, while a 10-inch touchscreen below allows visitors to perform their searches.

Visitors can search for a store or service directly on the touchscreen. The route then appears clearly on the large map display. This dual-screen setup makes orientation easier and helps visitors quickly confirm the direction they need to follow.

As a result, searching for stores and calculating routes becomes simple and efficient.

A Strengthened Partnership with URW

The Euralille project is part of a broader collaboration with URW (Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield). ViaDirect has already deployed several solutions across the group’s shopping centers.

These installations help enhance the visitor experience through innovative and interactive digital solutions.

A Smoother Visitor Experience

Thanks to the integration of these interactive digital totems, the shopping center’s indoor wayfinding system has been significantly improved. Visitors can now orient themselves quickly and move more easily throughout the different areas of the mall.

As a result, the overall visitor experience becomes simpler, smoother, and more enjoyable for everyone.
